A fascination with the stars.
How two parts of my world became Fomalhaut.
I’m Gamze — a photographer, graphic designer and astrologer. Fomalhaut grew out of the things I love: making images, designing T-shirts and spending perhaps a little too long looking at birth charts.
I already had my own T-shirt shop when astrology and tarot started taking up more space in my life. I was reading charts, pulling cards, learning and experimenting, simply because I enjoyed it. Over time, those interests began finding their way into my sketchbooks and designs.
A zodiac symbol here, a celestial detail there. Then the idea of turning a personal birth chart into something you could wear. There wasn’t one big moment — just a growing feeling that these two worlds belonged together.
Why Fomalhaut?
Fomalhaut takes its name from the brightest star in Piscis Austrinus, the Southern Fish constellation. Often called the “Loneliest Star”, it stands out in a part of the night sky with few other bright stars nearby.
I loved the idea of a star with a character of its own. It felt right for a brand about personal expression — sharing the same sky, while each having our own story.
That’s what I enjoy most about creating for Fomalhaut: making something that feels like you. It might be your zodiac sign, your birth chart drawn from your date, time and place of birth, or simply a design you love. You don’t need to know anything about astrology to find something that speaks to you.
My photography shapes how I see light and detail, graphic design gives those ideas form, and astrology brings another layer of meaning. Fomalhaut is where I get to bring them all together.
